Meeting with Members of Commission on Integration and Cohesion
On 16th of April NEPCO Committee took part in a meeting with members of Commission on Integration and Cohesion - a fixed term advisory body which consider and analyse the way local communities can make the most of the benefits delivered by increasing diversity and how they can respond to the tensions it can cause.
NEPCO presentation (our aims, plans, connections with other organisations and communities)prepared by Marta Zielińska supported by Anna Fraszczyk took the majority of meeting time reserved for us. Because of time limitation (just over one hour) we've discussed only few main issues but at the same time we've managed to create the outline view of Polish community in Newcastle with good and negative sides of its cooperation with local communities.
We are really pleased that we've been given this opportunity and could take part in so important discussion. Our nerves disappeared in the blink of an eye - thanks to a very friendly atmosphere.
