Viking Raiders and picnic
Together with our friends we have visited Tynemouth Castle where (thanks to the English Heritage) we have experienced an exciting invasion of Vikings, had an opportunity to meet the raiders, observe their lives and customs in a village created specially for this event. Martial arts were really impressive and Vikings turned out to be friendly and nice people (although one of them wanted to give one of our youngest giggling nepco-girls a good hiding).
Despite wind and chilly weather a group of brave people joined our picnic. Beside friendly atmosphere and lots of chatting there were delicious home-made buns which disappeared in the twinkling of an eye and great salads to satiate everyone's appetite.
We've had a really good time - thank you all for coming!
